UVT Aero took part in MRO Russia & CIS

The 13th International Conference and Exhibition "MRO of aviation equipment in Russia and CIS" was held in Moscow. This is the only event in Russia and the CIS, entirely dedicated to the actual issues of maintenance, repair & overhaul (MRO) of aircraft.

Maintenance and repair are some of the most important areas in civil aviation. The exhibition-conference brought together the most influential audience – representatives of aviation industry, MRO enterprises, largest airlines, state bodies, and also foreign aviation professionals to discuss the main issues of the aircraft maintenance and repair in current circumstances.

In 2018, more than 300 companies from 25 countries of the near and far abroad took part in the event; 80 booths of the exposition occupied the area of about 1000 sq.m.

The event was participated by JSC UVT Aero, the airline with advanced engineering and aviation service, certified by EASA part 145, FAR-285, OTAR part 145, OTAR 39. The company specializes in the provision of a full range of maintenance and airworthiness services for aircraft of business, commercial, and sanitary aviation. Own logistic service allows to supply planned and AOG spare parts and components for the aircraft built in Russia and abroad from manufacturers of aircraft and its components. The airline was represented on the booth No.103.

On the first day more than 900 participants visited the event. The conference was opened by the President of the Russian Air Transport Operators Association Vladimir Tasun. "We all recognize the current situation: over the last 20 years, airlines have switched to operation of foreign aircraft, which are now operated in more than 95% of transportation. I am thankful to the engineers and technicians who have gone a long way to the transition to new MRO practices and maintaining the airworthiness of the aircraft fleet. Today the level of MRO specialists and organization in Russia is quite high, which is recognized by both lessors and authorities like EASA. As a result of fruitful work at this conference, we should develop recommendations to further propose to the state bodies the scenarios of transition to the new paradigm in the field of MRO and to structure the legal base of maintenance," noted Mr. Tasun in his speech.

The participants of this forum received first-hand full and up-to-date information on current possibilities of Russian and foreign financial institutions and leasing companies. In the course of speeches and informal discussions they learned in details about the trends in the air transport market, the opinions of experts from the financial sector, investors, representatives of state regulatory authorities and airline managers.

The conference program reflected the latest trends in the air transport industry, which is undergoing significant changes. Participants shared their plans to organize the continued airworthiness of the expanding aircraft fleet, noted the significant expansion of competencies of Russian MRO providers, which can now provide a decent competition to foreign colleagues. Whether Russian providers will be able to expand the range of foreign customers, what prospects MRO digitalization and outsourcing of maintenance and repair services open for the industry – these and other issues were actively discussed during the plenary sessions.

The participants of parallel practical sessions were also focused on issues related to customs regulation and integration of information technologies into the MRO.

The high level of the event organization provided opportunity to all exhibitors to exchange experience, reach preliminary agreements, and establish new useful contacts in a free dialogue. We can say that the participation of UVT Aero in this exhibition has been successful and will have a positive impact on the expansion of cooperation and further activities.
