Carriage of a sick passenger or a physically disabled person

Carriage of a sick passenger or a physically disabled person on the flights of the Airline Company is subject to approval of the Airline Company management.

Prior to the start of flight the Airline Company shall be provided with a medical assessment report signed by the doctor containing permission for carriage of a sick or a physically disabled person by air as well as specify special requirements for the conditions of carriage of such person.

Carriage of a sick passenger or a physically disabled person is performed providing that the Airline Company shall not be held liable for any consequences whatsoever of such carriage in regard to the passenger. The above shall be verified by the passenger’s pledge (acknowledgement).

Airline Company or a person authorized by the Airline Company and checking-in a sick passenger or a physically disabled person is obliged to inform ground staff at departure, connection, transfer and arrival points of the presence of a sick passenger or a physically disabled person on board of the aircraft.

Carriage of a passenger in a wheelchair, unable to move on his/her own, or a sick person on stretchers shall be accompanied by a person taking care of such passenger in flight.

Carriage of a sick person on stretchers shall be performed with provision of additional seats and payment for a corresponding economy class rate.

If it is not possible to move a sick person from stretchers to a seat, the possibility of his/her transportation is subject to agreement between the Airline Company and a person accompanying the passenger.

The Airline Company is entitled to refuse to carry a passenger in a wheel-chair, a sick person on stretchers provided that some aircrafts do not have conditions, required for the transportation of such passengers.

A visually impaired and/or a deaf passenger shall be carried with an accompanying person.

A deaf passenger can be carried unaccompanied upon the agreement with the Airline Company.

A visually impaired passenger can be carried accompanied by an assistance dog upon the agreement with the Airline Company.

A visually impaired passenger accompanied by an assistance dog can be carried upon presenting a document certifying that this passenger is disabled and a document certifying special training of an assistance dog.

An assistance dog accompanying a visually impaired passenger shall be carried free of charge in addition to the free baggage allowance. An assistance dog must have a dog collar and a muzzle and it must be tied to a seat of a passenger it accompanies.

Unaccompanied visually impaired and/ or deaf passenger, passenger in a wheelchair unable to move on his/ her own or a sick person on stretchers shall be accepted for carriage under the supervision of the Airline Company on the agreement with the Airline Company and after processing of written application for the carriage under the supervision of the Airline Company.

At the time of booking a seat for a sick passenger, incapacitated person, visually impaired/ deaf passenger, an authorized agent must inform Airline Company of this fact in order to ensure that such passenger shall have the assistance during check-in and delivery to the aircraft.

Abovementioned regulations shall not cover carriage of ill (incapacitated) passengers by aircrafts performing special charter flights and ambulance aircrafts. For security reasons Airline Company cannot accept more than two persons with limited mobility per each flight.
